Setting Up for a Strong 2025 at DOBI

The last couple of years have thrown a lot of challenges our way. Here at DOBI, though, things are feeling different — and honestly, better. This time of year is perfect for reflecting on the journey, and I’m seeing more energy and excitement from our agents than ever.

Driving in today, I thought about how much my perspective on challenges has changed over time. Recently, I spent months on a deal that was supposed to bring in a significant commission, only for it to fall apart at the last minute. A few years ago, that would have totally ruined my week, but now, I see it differently. That setback opened the door to an even bigger project, one that could double my return. This is something I’ve come to realize over the years: setbacks often lead to even better opportunities.

I didn’t get here overnight. I started in this business with nothing — living at my parents’ house, scraping by. I created momentum because I had to. And I see that same drive in some of our agents today — the ability to push forward, even when things feel uncertain.

At DOBI, our agents often find themselves at different stages. Many get started by building a lot of momentum but reach a plateau after a couple of years. The real turning point is when they shift from just working hard to really building a business. That means creating systems, delegating, and investing strategically. It’s the difference between being a salesperson and an entrepreneur.

For those who want to go further, the next step is scaling. This is a rare accomplishment, but it’s possible with the right focus, mentorship, and commitment. And at DOBI, we’re here to support anyone ready to make that leap.

As we close out 2024 and head into 2025, I want to help our agents who are committed to growth. There’s a great opportunity this holiday season to double down on your business. While others might slow down, it’s a time to stay focused. Like a bear preparing for winter, we need to keep “feeding” our business so that when spring comes, we’re ready to hit the ground running.
